The Horsing Around group has invited bikers and hikers to join them in decorating the big tree at the intersection of Peavine and Iron King on Saturday Dec 10th They do this every year and last year there were many bikers and hikers that expressed interest in doing it with them this year. This is a time to show that all users of our trails can come together and have a good time.
Bring Non- Breakable ornaments for the tree and preferably some wildlife friendly food like seed covered pine cones, apples, carrots, seed blocks. Share some love with the birds. Christmas carols will be sung and Santa will be handing out candy to everyone, along with dog bones for the furry friends on the trail.
The equestrians will be parking at the Peavine parking lot and ask that if the bikers could ride in from either Phippen, Side Road or Iron King that would be helpful for parking. This is a kid friendly event as well, so if you need something to do with them and get them out of the house, this is perfect! They get to ride their bikes or hike and get to see and pet the horses and even get to give Santa their wish list!!!
Hope to see a good turn out! And just so you know after Christmas the Horsing Around group will go back out and take down what is left on the tree.
You can decorate you and your bike too if you like. The Horsing Around group will be decorating their horses.
