PMBA 8 to 80 Ride

An event every week that begins at 4:00pm on Sunday, repeating indefinitely
This ride is appropriate for novice to advanced riders from 8* to 80 years old. Families with children are especially encouraged to join us. We divide ourselves into riding groups for A, B, C, and Toodle Rides. We ride for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, then enjoy visiting and snacks. PMBA provides after-ride drinks, snacks are pot-luck.
1ST SUNDAY – SPENCE BASIN
Meet at the parking lot where Trail 332 crosses Iron Springs Rd, which is 1.3 miles northwest of the junction of Iron Springs and Granite Basin Rd. Just before the paved “Y” to the parking on the left, you will see a big road-cut and a “50 mph” sign on the right side of Iron Springs Rd. That will be the 2nd “50 mph” sign after Granite Basin Rd. Parking is free. There are no restrooms at this location.
2ND SUNDAY – GRANITE BASIN
Meet at Metate parking area on Granite Basin Road, about 1.5 miles beyond Cayuse in the Granite Basin Recreation Area. $5 parking fee (cash or check), or with a parking pass. A Geezer Pass, National Lands Pass, or Prescott Forest Pass are all valid. There are restrooms at this location.
3RD SUNDAY – THUMB BUTTE
Meet at White Rock trailhead. Leave Prescott on Gurley Street west toward Thumb Butte and continue on that road as it turns into Thumb Butte Rd. This parking area is about 1.5 miles beyond the developed Thumb Butte recreation area. The road is now paved all the way to the TH and beyond. The TH is a large gravel lot on the right side of the road. Parking is free. There is no restroom at this location.
4TH SUNDAY – GOLDWATER LAKE
Meet at the “bus turn-around” lot off Senator Hwy just before the entrance to Goldwater Lake, about 3 miles from Prescott. It is a nicely graded gravel lot on the right. Parking is free. There is not a restroom at this location.
5TH SUNDAY – LYNX LAKE/RANCH
Meet at the North Shore picnic site, just past the marina. Parking fees required. There are restrooms at this location.
Each individual must complete a liability release form, perform an equipment check on your bicycle, and disclose any medical concerns prior to participating in any PMBA group ride. Please inquire with the ride host for more information.
