8 to 80 Ride – Metate Trailhead in Granite Basin

the Metate Parking area, about 1.5 miles beyond Cayuse in the Granite Basin Recreation Area. It will be on the left side of the road. $5 parking fee (cash or check), or with a parking pass. A Geezer Pass, National Lands Pass, or Prescott Forest Pass are all valid. There are restrooms at this location.
Granite Basin offers several loops and some classic rides such as “The Whoops” and Mint Wash, as well as the large granite slab to practice expert rock riding.
This ride is appropriate for novice to advanced riders from 8* to 80 years old. Families with children are especially encouraged to join us. We divide ourselves into riding groups for A, B, C, and Toodle Rides.
We ride for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, then enjoy visiting and snacks. PMBA provides after-ride drinks. Snacks are pot-luck.
your mountain bike, helmet, a pack with water, spare tube and tire pump, and clothing appropriate for the weather.
