8 to 80 Ride
October 15, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
1:00 pm group photo. The ride begins immediately following.
This ride is appropriate for novice to advanced riders from 8* to 80 years old. Families with children are especially encouraged to join us. We divide ourselves into riding groups for A, B, C, and Toodle Rides.
Meet at: the Brownlow TH at Pioneer Park (the mountain lion statue). Parking is free. There is a porta-outhouse at this location. The Brownlow TH is located on the west side of Commerce Dr between Willow Creek Rd and Pioneer Parkway. It is directly across the street from the hockey rink.
Pioneer Park has good trails for any experience and ability. Chris Hosking and the Over the Hill Gang have added miles of new single track in the last year so if you have not ridden there recently, you are in for a very pleasant surprise! There is access to the Longview segment of the Prescott Circle Trail, and to the Willow Dells via the Embry Riddle Circle Trail segment for technical rock riding. There is also the 5k loop which is a nice wide track with mostly gentle hills.
*You will need a parent permission signature if you are under 18 years old. If you are coming without a parent, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for the form, print it, have a parent sign and date it, and bring with you. If you are less than 14 years old, please bring an adult who will ride with you.
We ride for 1-1/2 to 2 hours, then enjoy visiting and snacks. PMBA provides after-ride drinks. Snacks are pot-luck.
Bring: your mountain bike, helmet, a pack with water, spare tube and tire pump, and clothing appropriate for the weather.
