All partners trail workday – Mint Wash – Rescheduled to March 25

March 25 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Rescheduling the previously rescheduled event. “As Mother Nature has been extra generous with us this past week, the Mint Wash Trail is not ready for the facelift we were planning for it.  The road to the boat launch is currently closed. Water is flowing over the pavement right before the parking lot to the boat launch.  Even with the nice temperatures we are getting, it would be darn near impossible to cross the streams on Trail 345.”

Original Post – Bike Prescott has developed a reputation as a supportive member of the local outdoor community. We want you to help us uphold that reputation by joining us for a morning spent working outside at Granite Basin.

The workday has been organized by the Yavapai Trails Association (YTA). Their events are always rewarding and fun but this one will be special. With a minimum of 40 volunteers required, all of the groups shown at the bottom of the YTA flyer above are calling out their forces. Let’s make sure Bike Prescott is well represented.

WHAT WE WILL DO – The 2022 monsoon season took a toll on Granite Basin and the goal for the morning is to get .7 miles of Mint Wash, trail #345, shaped up so that all users can enjoy their trail experience.

COME PREPARED – Wear long sleeves, long pants. Bring eye protection, sturdy boots, gloves and water. Hard hats are provided or you can bring your bike helmet. All tools are provided.

MEETING LOCATION – From its intersection with Willow Creek Rd, follow Iron Springs Road for 3 miles. Turn right on N. Granite Basin Road. Drive 3.8 miles to the Granite Basin Lake Boat Launch parking lot.
